Dermaplaning is the process of using a sterile surgical blade on the stratum corneum to gently exfoliate and eliminate layers of dead skin cells and unwanted vellus hair ("peach fuzz") from the face. Dermaplaning is effective in smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, evening out skin tone and reducing acne scarring. This treatment utilizes a planing technique provided by a certified professional. Note that dermaplaning treatments are not recommended for acne-prone skin.
